Daren Baythorpe is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at ITS. 

Appointed in 2018, Daren is a dynamic leader who drives the strategy, growth and direction of ITS. He has led the business to be the UK’s leading business fibre network, building innovative commercial models across public and private sector, and building a thriving indirect partner community. 

 

Operating from offices in the Liverpool City Region and London, he has guided the company through successful fundraising rounds and strategic M&A activity, extending ITS’ gigabit-capable Faster Britain network across key business conurbations and developing a market-leading infrastructure and data centre proposition.

 

With significant utility and telecoms sector experience, Daren has held several board-level leadership and advisory positions for several organisations including Severn Trent Water and BT. He served on the Board of Openreach, where he held executive responsibilities as Director of the Customer Service Division, Director for Field Engineering then latterly serving as Managing Director of the Business Division.

 

His in-depth knowledge and understanding of the requirements of operators and high-capacity data users, through his vast experience across the industry, mean ITS is well-positioned for market change and further growth. 

 

Daren regularly advises and collaborates with government and other regulatory and telecoms bodies on sector-related issues and is passionate about supporting digital inclusion and diversity initiatives through ITS’ ESG policy.
