Jim Footh is a Managing Director at PGIM Real Estate on the global Data Center Investments team. Based in Seattle, Washington, Jim has transactional and portfolio management responsibilities for investments made by PGIM Real Estate in the data center sector and is a senior member of the Global Data Center Strategy portfolio management team.
Before joining PGIM Real Estate, Jim spent eight-years as a senior leader within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure team. His most recent role was the senior manager of AWS Strategy and Planning leading a team of infrastructure planners to develop private-cloud infrastructure solutions for AWS U.S. government and non-U.S. government clients.
Previously, Jim was a principal at AWS Strategy and Technical Leadership group where he had a global role focused on solving difficult and systemic infrastructure expansion challenges for new and existing AWS commercial regions. Jim also held roles as the managing principal for AWS EMEA & APAC Data Center Development with responsibility for leading teams managing all data center development across both the AWS EMEA and APAC regions. Earlier roles at AWS included Real Estate Development Manager of Western U.S., Canada and Latin America overseeing all AWS data center developments in these regions.
Prior to his years with AWS, Jim held a number of senior roles in the real estate services industry, including director in the Johnson Controls corporate real estate outsourcing business and leading the Capital Markets practice for Jones Lang LaSalle for the Northwest region of the United States.
Jim has a bachelor’s degree from University of Washington, he is also a member of the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Institute, Masters of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) and LEED Green Associate.
